Gospel of Matthew
The first book of the New Testament, telling of the life, teaching, death and resurrection of Jesus, including the Sermon on the Mount. It is traditionally attributed to the apostle Matthew; most scholars think it was written anonymously around 80–90 CE, drawing on the Gospel of Mark.
