Albert Camus
Albert Camus was a French writer and philosopher, born in Algeria, whose novels and essays explore what he called the absurd: our longing for meaning in a world that offers none. His works include The Stranger (1942) and The Myth of Sisyphus (1942), and he received the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1957.
