Will Durant

Will Durant was an American historian and writer who brought philosophy and history to a wide readership. The Story of Philosophy (1926) became a bestseller, and he went on to write the eleven-volume Story of Civilization, the last five volumes jointly with his wife Ariel. The line 'We are what we repeatedly do' comes from his summary of Aristotle and is often quoted as Aristotle's own.
